DESCRIPTION
Based on Williams' 1980 arcade smash, which was the first-ever side-scrolling shooter, Defender is a competently designed port that retains all the basic elements of the original game. Although gameplay is less intense, the controls are a little tricky and the sound effects are rougher than those of its coin-op counterpart, the game is fun to play and plenty challenging. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
