Defend Your Castle is a pick-and-flick game featuring stick-figure barbarians. A cartoon castle sits alone in a green field. Each day at dawn, it is assaulted by a stream of barbarians. Using the Wii Remote, players and point and click to grab a 2D invader and then make throwing motions to fling him away over the horizon. As the game progresses, more barbarians attack each day, but the castle can be repaired overnight — for a price. Players can also convert barbarians, causing them to help defend the castle from the onslaughts of their former tribesmen. Multiplayer games are supported for up to four. Originally developed as a browser-based freeware game, XGen Studio's Defend Your Castle is a WiiWare launch title in North America — one of the first games made available in the introduction of Nintendo's digital distribution service for new and original games. ~ T.J.
