“DefCon takes a catastrophic situation and makes it a game....a perfect idea. Instead of playing as a specific country, players choose a region of the earth and employ nuclear assets to destroy the world. Utilizing various military assets gamers must balance between offensive and defensive tactics to inflict mass casualties while defending their own populous. It feels like a "light" RTS that involves no resource gathering. I will admit that shoveling 18 nukes down a single city is quite humorous but quickly fades after a few runs through the game. Overall a fun play but certainly not a blockbuster smash.”
