Gamers take to the icy waters of the Bering Sea in a grand competition to catch the most crabs in Alaskan Storm, a game of strategy and action based on the popular Discovery Channel television series. Where you drop your pots and when you pull them back up makes difference between boom and bust, but getting to the right places at the right times takes foresight and fortitude. Virtual captains take charge of each expedition, from cargo choices and route charting to crew assignments and emergency management. Fans of the television series know the occupation lives up to its "deadliest" moniker, and some of the game's challenges involve keeping the ship and its crew safe in the adversarial conditions of the Alaskan seas. Deadliest Catch: Alaskan Storm incorporates video clips featuring Sig Hansen, captain of the Northwestern, who is prominently featured in the television series.
