Arcade driving action comes home to your PC in this stock car racing game by the people at AM2 and Sega Sports. There are a few different ways of playing Daytona USA, one of them being a faithful conversion of the popular arcade racing game. Another option is the game's "PC Mode," which lets you choose from four different cars, each with different abilities.
Daytona USA pits you against 39 other computer-controlled racers. The game features three tracks of varying difficulty. There are also different race length settings available in each course. For beginners, races last for eight, 40 or a whopping 80 laps. For intermediate players, races go for four, 20 or 40 laps. For the advanced player, the lap counts are two, 10 or 20 times around the track.
You'll start at the back of the pack and try to advance positions throughout the race. Every time you complete a lap, you will get extra time on your "Time Remaining" meter. If the time on your meter runs out, you lose. ~ Kasey Whittleton, All Game Guide
