Dash Galaxy in the Alien Asylum is a strange cross between a platformer and a puzzle game. Levels are begun with an overhead view of a room full of blocks, which must be rearranged (or blown up) to gain access to new rooms and levels. Upon entering a platform room, the perspective switches to side view. Having two distinct types of challenges is theoretically a plus, but the platform sections of Dash Galaxy are lame. Dash runs and jumps awkwardly, and the sluggish controls make the levels seem more like work than play. The puzzles are decent because logic is required to solve them, but none stand out as overly clever or inventive. ~ Skyler Miller, All Game Guide
