A radical terrorist organization has obtained a tremendous payload of dangerous chemical weapons and is currently unleashing a master plan to spread them across the free world. A full-scale attack against these terrorist won't work because it will simply result in an immediate bio-weapon counterstrike. Secrecy and stealth is needed, and the famous sniper Agent Falcon seems to be the best man for the job. But this time, he won't go it alone, as the mysterious rogue mercenary Jackal, long a rival of Falcon, has made it clear he's going on this mission, as well.
Dark Silhouette: Silent Scope 2 is the sequel to Konami's Silent Scope, incorporating the same sniper rifle controller as its predecessor. Thanks to the fact that there are now two snipers in the game, a two-player mode is available, provided two separate cabinets are linked up.
The game is divided into nine stages, and unlike the first game, you must play through each one instead of being allowed to skip around. These levels depict the kinds of areas you would expect in a counter-terrorist game: snow-covered bases, dark corridors and exotic locations. There are both long distance and close-quarters combat. The key to each mission is being both quick and accurate, as you are timed on each level and receive bonus points for taking down enemies quickly, especially with head shots.
Along with the regular game, there is also a training mission and a duel mode, where two snipers can take each other on in a number of different settings. ~ Jon Thompson, All Game Guide
