The beat goes on as players step up to this autumn 2004 edition of Konami's genre-founding "Bemani" series. Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix 2 is the second in the series to come to the Xbox, and continues the rhythm-based, foot-stomping, calorie-burning gameplay of earlier releases. Players score points by following on-screen directions in time to the music; while a gamepad will work, the best way to enjoy the game is with a dance mat controller, which has players tapping their feet to the beat. Like the original, Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix 2 is playable over the Xbox Live online service, allowing song downloads, content uploads, and head-to-head challenges between dance-happy gamers across the country. ~ T.J.
