A game sure to please fans of the BBC's cult classic science fiction series Doctor Who, Dalek Attack gives players the option of portraying one of three of the show's ever-changing Doctors (only the Patrick Troughton, Tom Baker and Sylvester McCoy "regenerations" are offered), while a second player can take the role of the Doctor's assistant Ace or a U.N.I.T. soldier. The game is standard scrolling-and-shooting fare, featuring hostages to be rescued, obstacles that reduce your character's health with each collision, and hard-to-kill level bosses. Surprisingly, the Daleks aren't the main menace, as you spend much of your time dodging their Robomen and other enslaved humans, lulling you into a false sense of security when a Dalek proves difficult to defeat. Dalek Attack's bckground scenery evokes settings from London to New York to the Daleks' home planet of Skaro, and gets increasingly difficult with each successive setting. ~ Earl Green, All Game Guide
