DESCRIPTION

Crown of Glory follows the Napoleonic Era from 1792 to 1820 as players take control of a European nation in a series of turn-based campaigns and battles. Eight nations are featured along with over 200 provinces and 90 minor powers. Throughout the game, players will make decisions regarding military, diplomacy, economics, and social issues. They must keep a watchful eye on their nation's food supply, population growth, trade routes, and income while also maintaining a military presence. Combat supports both ground and naval forces, with players able to create blockades, embark on sieges, and intercept other nations' supplies. Factors that affect combat include unit morale, weather, reinforcements, fog of war, and other variables designed for realism. Up to eight players are supported via Internet, LAN, hot seat, and play by e-mail, with tactical turns spanning 20 minutes and strategic turns decided monthly. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide
