DESCRIPTION

Half-Life: Counterstrike is a modification for the classic first-person shooter, Half-Life. Because Counterstrike began as a user modification, it was developed and play-tested by thousands of fans before it was actually released commercially as an official Half-Life update. The Half-Life: Counterstrike mod alters the multiplayer capabilities of Half-Life to make the game more team-oriented. Up to twenty players are able to compete as terrorist and anti-terrorist squads in this chapter of the continuing Half-Life story.

As the team aspect of the game is so important, Half-Life: Counterstrike should be primarily considered for its multiplayer features. Players need to work together to accomplish mission goals like rescuing hostages, assassinating a target, or simply escaping an enemy counter-attack.
