DESCRIPTION

Corrosion: Cold Winter Waiting is a classically styled graphic adventure in which gamers take on the role of a bored small-town sheriff as he sets off to investigate the secrets of a mysterious farm. The game begins with Sheriff Alex Truman crashing his patrol car into a mysterious man, who no one in the small town of Deacon Oaks recognizes. Though his injuries are relatively minor, the unidentified stranger refuses to speak and is confined to a mental institution, where his silence is broken after two months by only three words: "Cold Winter Farm."

Players take control of Sheriff Truman as he travels to the farm on the night of the worst winter storm in 50 years. But shortly after entering the farmhouse, a giant tree collapses on the entrance, and subsequently reveals a secret underground corridor with an elevator that only goes down. Gamers who explore the cramped hallways deep below the farm must deal with darkness, fear, and environmental puzzles in order to learn the true identity of the mysterious man, and uncover the secrets of Cold Winter Farm. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide
