DESCRIPTION

A Super Mario Bros.-inspired platformer (complete with two-player alternating mode), Congo's Caper is set in a large prehistoric world of dinosaurs and cavemen. Wielding a wooden club, Congo can bat the enemies out of his way as he runs, jumps, swims, flies and dives his way through 35 smooth scrolling, nicely animated levels. Using the club gets a little old, but other abilities, such as swinging on vines and rolling down hills to knock out enemies, add variety. At times, players can even ride a pteranodon to a bonus stage. Cute, colorful, uncluttered graphics, brightly happy music and sound effects, and easy-to-use controls make this a good title for younger gamers. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
