DESCRIPTION

Championship Hockey is almost the same game as NHL Hockey for the Genesis. The main differences are that this game is for one player only and instead of NHL teams there are 22 countries to play as. Modes of play include: new playoffs, best of seven playoffs, and regular season.

Selecting new playoffs will begin four rounds of playoffs. Best of seven playoffs places your team in the finals for a best of seven series. Although one mode is called regular season, it is not a full season of play. It simply means one regular season game.

Options allow players to customize their games. Penalties and line changes can be turned on or off. Also, penalties that are turned on can be played with all penalties or all penalties except offsides. Period lengths can be set at 5, 10, or 20 minutes each. ~ Jonathan Sutyak, All Game Guide
