Everything feels so smooth as you are skipping through the varied and atmospheric world, thanks to five years of careful adjusting on the developer's part. Plenty of great ideas to go around, some pretty difficult to implement successfully in a sidescrolling shooter : the weapons upgrade system, the booster, the machine-gun flying...Perfect controls are met with perfect difficulty curve, making it a challenging but feasible, very enjoyable game. Gotta love the attention to detail in the carefully crafted pixel-environment, too. Story is not ground-breaking but much more complex than average for this kind of game. All in all, a must-play for anyone who enjoys the feeling of methodic and caring development.”
