For more screams and smears per gallon, Carmageddon was recognized as one of the gorier titles upon its release. Interplay apparently wasn't content to claim the title and walk away, however. Now comes Carmageddon 2: Carpocalypse Now, the sequel to the 1997 original.

The game features full 3D racing worlds that completment 30 new track configurations on which to careen about. What's more, it lines up over 150 plump and juicy new pedestrian targets to help keep your timer increasing. There are also 33 brand new cars added in addition to seven redesigned killing machines from the original. Carpocalypse Now also tosses in 90 different weapons and power ups, secret bonus areas, 3D acceleration, Rage and multi-player LAN support as well as music by Iron Maiden.
