DESCRIPTION
Originally released on home computer systems, Cannon Fodder is a title that blends action and strategy, putting you behind a ragtag squad of soldiers as they do whatever they can to mow through enemy lines. You will control two soldiers at a time, using a cursor to point them in the right direction, and doing your best to save the little guys from harm as they encounter eight different enemy soldier types, from scouts and snipers to bazooka troopers.
Don't fret if your troops are blown to bits, shot up, tossed off cliffs, or sunk in quicksand. Reinforcements will parachute in immediately. You only have a certain number of soldiers to destroy all enemy forces with, though, so you'll want to try to keep them alive and move them up through the ranks.
Cannon Fodder features 72 different levels that take place over a variety of terrain, like jungles, deserts, and artic wastes. Occasionally your soldiers will be able to climb aboard enemy vehicles, such as tanks, jeeps, and helicopters. The game also features digitized speech and full-motion video clips on a 4-Meg cartridge. It also features battery backup so players can save their progress. ~ Jon Thompson, All Game Guide
