DESCRIPTION

The story, inspired by the writing of H. P. Lovecraft, centers on a young astronomer, John T. Parker (see review), who in 1910 travels to the little fishing town of Illsmouth in New England. Nearly eight decades prior to his journey, a distinguished scientist from England, Lord Boleskine, made the same trip in an effort to prove his theories regarding British Museum documents which hinted at an evil secret place that was influenced by close convergence of stars to the earth. Boleskine created sketches proving the truth of his observances but went mad as Halley's comet appeared and his findings were dismissed as the ravings of a lunatic.

Your purpose as Parker, is to prove that Lord Boleskine did, in fact, discover an unusual star-based phenomenon and vindicate his name. However, in the process, you arrive in a town gripped by an atmosphere of terror. Through clues, legends, discoveries, exploration, interaction with a varied cast of characters, both weird and mysterious, and ancient evil influences, you'll have to unravel the terrifying truth of the curse of Illsmouth by uncovering the puzzles contained in the seven letters of Cthulhu. ~ Michael L.
