Unlike most shooters of this type, where you simply aim a crosshair and fire, in Cabal you must guide a crosshair while simultaneously maneuvering your character. This control scheme can be awkward and frustrating, especially for the beginner. Another quirk is that the A button is used for two kinds of firepower — hold it down and you shoot bullets, but tapping it releases grenades.
