DESCRIPTION
Ported from the popular Arcade game, Bump 'n' Jump is a rough and tumble, vertically-scrolling, top-view racing game that requires good driving skills...and a knack for mayhem.
Using a standard joystick controller or Coleco's Expansion Module #2, which consists of a steering wheel and gas pedal, you must use your car as a weapon and sideswipe other cars, smashing them into the side of the road. Your car is such a mean machine that it is even equipped with a high-powered hydraulic jump that allows you to hop onto other cars, as well as leap over other obstacles, such as large gaps in the roadway. Jumping is only possible at speeds above 100 miles-per-hour.
Race through 20 different roadways, each with its own set of hazards. You'll travel over wide four-lanes, narrow causeways and oddly jagged two-lanes. You must steer clear of and jump over water hazards, avoid piles of dirt dropped by dump trucks, and watch out for slow moving tanks that can knock you around handily.
At the end of each course you are awarded points for the total number of cars eliminated. If you manage to make it through a race without destroying a single car, you'll receive a safe driving bonus of 50,000 points. ~ Michael Schwartz/Joan Dykman, All Game Guide
