DESCRIPTION

BreakThru! is a puzzle game created by Alexei Pajitnov, the mathematician who also created Tetris and its sequels Wordtris and Faces.

In BreakThru!, players try to tear down a wall of multicolored blocks by clicking on two blocks of the same color that are above or beside the other. Any block of the same color that is connected to the clicked blocks, either by being beside or above/below other connected blocks, will disappear all at once.

Special items include Smart blocks, which can eliminate blocks of any one color from the wall no matter where they are, bombs that destroy any objects within a one block radius of themselves, and rockets that eliminate a row of blocks in any one of the four directions.

There are also items which block players. These include soda cans, which must be destroyed with bombs or rockets; spiders, which prevent blocks from falling or sliding together; and rocks, which cannot be destroyed, only moved one space by a rocket if nothing is behind the rock in the direction of the rocket. ~ Lisa Karen Savignano, All Game Guide
