DESCRIPTION

A sequel of sorts to Rival Turf, Brawl Brothers has more enemies and more moves than its progenitor, making it less repetitive and more enjoyable. Rival Turf veterans Hack and Slack make a return engagement, and are aided and abetted by Kazan (a ninja), Wendy (a pro wrestler), and Lord J (a black belt in karate). A special Angry Mode gives injured fighters a burst of energy, giving the game some oomph, and the graphics and music are nice, yet the controls lack the speed, precision, and polish of such games as Streets of Rage, Street Fighter II, and Double Dragon. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
