DESCRIPTION

The Bomberman franchise has been warmly welcomed on nearly every major video game platform and Nintendo's powerful 64-bit machine is no exception. This is one of two follow-up games created in the style of 1997's successful Bomberman 64, with 3D graphics and a slightly angled view of the playing field. While its companion Bomberman Hero focused more on single-player adventuring, Bomberman 64: The Second Attack! stays true to the series' roots of frantic multiplayer action.

Up to four N64 gamers can guide their characters through heated multiplayer battles and additional group features can be unlocked with skilled play. This title does offer a fully developed single-player mode as well, in which the hero must travel to different areas, defeating enemy bosses and gaining new powers. Bomberman 64: The Second Attack also introduces a cute little sidekick for the hero, who is occasionally helpful and who may "evolve" and grow in power if given the proper attention. ~ T.J.
