DESCRIPTION
Enter the fantasy world of Foresia, a land on the continent of Mabressia where magic rules and twelve Wisemen enslaved demons to do their bidding. Being arrogant and self-indulgent, these Wisemen believed their hold over nature was eternal and without danger. They were wrong. The demons rebelled and ripped the magic powers from the Wisemen, taking control. Now Foresia is known as The Forbidden Land, inhabited by monsters and demons. Ruins dot the land — ruins that many believe still hold untold treasures. Your quest begins with four heroes traveling to The Forbidden Land in search of fame, fortune, and adventure in Blaze & Blade: Eternal Quest.
Sixteen characters from eight classes are available to choose from for the starting party of four. Each class has seven abilities or attributes (strength, intelligence, willpower, agility, constitution, magical power and luck) and special skills ranging from combat and magic to defense and healing. The overall object of the game is to collect jewels by defeating each major foe at the end of four major quests: The Wood of Ruins, The Abandoned Mine, The Ancient Tower and Fire Dragon Mountain, with the fearsome Dragon as the final challenge. Offensive and defensive weapons also have attributes (fire, water, earth, wind, light, darkness, holiness and evil) that react with each other to enhance combat. In addition to the eight classes, Blaze and Blade also contains more than a dozen weapons, sixteen herbs and magic divided between "Attack and Recovery Magic" and eight unique fairy skills. Gameplay is from a third-person perspective and supports both keyboard and gamepad input. A single player controls up to four characters, or up to four people control individual characters with multiple input devices on the same computer. In single-player mode, other player characters, who automatically attack enemies when approached, follow the active character. ~ Michael L. House, All Game Guide
