DESCRIPTION
Experience the Birth of America as you take control of American soldiers between the years 1755 and 1783, and then lead them through the French and Indian War and the American Revolutionary War. Repel the redcoats in New England, Florida, Quebec, and Mississippi by drafting forces, building forts and depots, planning and executing sieges and blockades, raiding enemy settlements, and, of course, engaging in bloody battles fought on land and at sea. Arm yourself with a variety of units including light infantry, dragoons, siege artillery, rangers, Indian warriors, militias, marines, ships of the line, frigates, and lake flotillas in an attempt to declare your freedom from the crown.
Birth of America features 11 scenarios that range from a few months up to nine years in length, three campaigns, over 150 historical characters, more than 90 unit types, and a North American map covering 700 provinces with different terrain, climates, and civilization levels. While beating down the British army by sending orders to your regiment and arranging them into various detachments, you must also manage supply wagons, water transport, forts, depots, and political aspects of the conflict. ~ Gracie Leach, All Game Guide
