DESCRIPTION
In BioShock, you take the role of an isolated crash survivor who discovers a city under the sea. This city, also known as Rapture, was once a utopia for scientists, artists, and industrialists. However, by the time your character takes his first steps into Rapture, the civilization has ceased to exist, and the place is nearly desolate. The signs of life your avatar finds are nothing like he's seen before. Creatures known as little sisters roam the streets of Rapture with enormous bodyguards called big daddies. Mutated humans drag their warped bodies around the city and attack you on sight.
The goal of the game is to find your way out of Rapture while uncovering the mysteries behind its existence. As you explore the open environment, you must defeat big daddies and little sisters to obtain a material known as Adam. The Adam can enhance your in-game attributes and unlock over 60 genetic skills that come in handy for all sorts of predicaments. The city of Rapture is almost completely interactive, and you may collect objects for later use. There are also six modifiable weapons to use including two types of guns. ~ Gracie Leach, All Game Guide

The first time I played Bioshock, I was shocked at the ending (well the middle) where....well....I won't spoil it for you. The plot isn't the same repetitive cliche crap you find in games/movies these days, so rent or buy it just for that!”

“Every so often a title comes around that makes one question their judgement of the potential a genre is actually capable of. Bioshock is one of those titles. Both its immersive attention to detail, sound and horror as well as it's creative diplomacy of melding the FPS and Role-playing Genres have both casual and hardcore gamers scratching their heads in wonder, "Weren't these two Genre's impossible to completely satisfy simultaneously?"
Bioshock brings to life a world of madness, and it's true genius lies not in the creation of this world, but in the slow and methodical reveal of just how horrid and devoid of humanity it really is. It brings to question what the very mind of science, isolation and sheer removal of morality can make of men. At the same time the players wealth or poverty of power is determinant on whether they contribute or avoid the persistence of this inhumanity
This heart-pounding emotional thriller will bring an air of uneasiness in those long nights in front of your glowing screen - and it is a must have for any 360 owner.”

“Great Game, different than most FPS's, Rapture was freaky with the sound up on the 5.1 and lights out in the dark.”

“meeting only insane people all over the entire campaign was sometimes hard to stand.
beside that this game is a terrific and beautiful art deco style designed experience far from the fps mishmash youve played over and over again.
this is a masterpiece of gaming industry.
the only thing missing is an connection to live f. e. multiplayer or coop mode, which is nowadays a must have.
thats a minus for insanity and brutality
and a minus for lack of live connection
8 out of 10”

“Plays well. Had a bad habit of injecting myself with Eve when I wanted to reload my gun, and there is no visual indicator that you're stunned by electricity except that no controls respond, which makes the last boss battle very annoying. Other than that, the wor4ld is very immersive and the ADAM upgrade system is nice. However, doing the right things produces an inability to get all the upgrades. Very sadpanda.”
