Who needs an expensive set of turntables or a trip to the club when you can just throw beatmania in your PS2 and be the DJ? With beatmania, you can cue up tracks, drop beats, and perform music in real-time. The game features music by Moby and Timo Mass, and over 50 songs including "Toxic," "Virtual Insanity," "Funkytown," and "Celebration." Choose from pop, techno, hip-hop, drum n' bass, trance, and house tracks, and then add your own mixing skills for a completely customized recording that can be saved to your memory card. Follow along with the onscreen notes and play them in the correct sequence. Add effects to your mix such as an echo, or three types of surround. beatmania features modes like "Game," "Practice," "Free," "Training," and "Expert." Two difficulty settings challenge the diehard DJ yet allow beginners the luxury of learning at their own pace.
