DESCRIPTION
In Beach Head 2000, you're alone in a bunker, attempting to thwart an enemy infiltration with a variety of weapons at your disposal. As you defend the beach, the enemy swarms with APCs (armored personnel carriers), soldiers, troop choppers, transport barges, fighter jets, heavy bombers, and attack helicopters. Your armaments include a 30mm antiaircraft gun, a 76mm antitank gun, missiles, and as a last resort, a .45 caliber pistol.
The sounds of war pound your ears as incoming shells flay the beach, rounds scream overhead, jet fighters and bombers shatter the air with shrieking bombs and missiles, and artillery fire assails your position. A scoring system tracks the amount of damage your shields incur along with the amount of damage you inflict on various enemy units. Ammunition and missile count is monitored as you face wave after wave of the enemy in an unlimited number of ever-increasing difficulty levels. A supply plane will periodically replenish your arsenal.
The interface supports keyboard, mouse and joystick configurations, and customization options include adjustments to screen size and resolution detail. Photo-realistic graphics depict the enemy assault by land, air, and sea as you play from a first-person perspective. ~ Michael L. House, All Game Guide
