DESCRIPTION

Battlin' Babe is based on an old Norwiegan legend concerning a baby who was left alone after raiders abducted his parents. He survived in the deadly woods by fighting animals and eventually grew strong enough to fight off the raiders and rescue his parents.

Players take on the role of the babe, fighting off natural animals and slowly growing stronger and older. Defeating animals also rewards the player with cowrie shells, which can be used to buy better equipment from the various shops the player will encounter.

In addition, the icon depiction of the baby grows up as the baby grows, showing changes in armor, weapons, size, and hair growth. Some weapons are free for the taking, such as sticks, while others must be found or paid for, such as swords, axes, and other weapons.

The babe fights only natural animals, as no monsters (kobolds, orcs, etc.) exist in this game. These natural animals can still be challenging, especially when the babe is young, but running is usually an option, and healing plants abound if you know where to look.
