DESCRIPTION
Haven't you ever wished you could play a basketball game where you could just beat the hell out of the other team? Well, BasketBrawl is just the game for you. Choose from one of ten street thugs and play against five teams in a game of street hoops.
Each of the thugs is ranked in four attributes: power, skill, speed, and life. After selecting their thug of choice, players must contend with each of the game's teams three times. The first contest is simply a one-on-one match. After that, each time the player meets that team again, an additional player is thrown in on the opposing team's side. The single player does not gain a teammate.
During the game, players can punch and kick the other players as well as the spectators. If a player has the ball and is struck, he loses the ball. Players can also pick up weapons including knives and whips to attack with. Even spectators jump in on the action: One individual throws knives at the characters as they pass by, while the others will jump in during the game and beat up whomever they come across.
When a player loses all of his health, he is stunned for a period of time and can only lie on the ground helplessly. That period of time is a free ride for the other team, as it can score as quickly as the ball falls through the net.
A variety of power-up items are also available to players. Their effects range from restoring some health to speeding up the player. ~ Kyle Knight, All Game Guide
