DESCRIPTION

The pinball game, Balls of Steel, attempts to recreate the fun of a day at the arcade on your PC with five separate tables: Barbarian (a fantasy themed table), Darkside (a sci-fi thriller machine), Firestorm (a bomb-squad-themed table), Mutation (a B-movie sci-fi flick machine), and Duke Nukem, a table based on the video game hero, each filled with ramps, targets, switches, bumpers and more. Rather than simply imitating coin-op tables, Balls of Steel goes a step further by bringing the tables to life with animation. Use a jet pack to get over a damaged section of a table, float through a table submerged underwater, or fight off a crazed beast that's rampaging through the screen making gameplay the first priority for this 1997 release. ~ Scott Steinberg, All Game Guide
