DESCRIPTION

The whimsical Backyard Football series returns for a six installment on PC with two-time Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady as its cover athlete. Once again players can mix pint-sized pros and comical children, each rated in seven key attributes, to create their perfect playground-style team. The seven-on-seven action features real plays on both sides of the ball, albeit with an assortment of arcade-style power moves and lighthearted animations to appeal to the young and young-at-heart. A total of 15 NFL pros are available to play as or against, from offensive stars LaDanian Tomlinson and Peyton Manning to defensive specialists Michael Strahan and Brian Urlacher.

Players can compete in either a single game or a 16-game season, with an assortment of unlockables (stadiums, characters, and more) to earn as the game progresses. All 32 NFL teams from the 2007 season are included along with ten "Backyard" teams. Custom athletes, teams, and uniforms are supported as well. Featured power-ups temporarily transform characters into a whirling tornado, charging bull, and more. The fictitious stadiums include such venues as Pine Valley Neighborhood, Brickyards Middle School, Grasslawn Grounds, and the Humongo Dome, home to the Backyard Bowl.
