DESCRIPTION
Having completed the quest in B.C.'s Quest for Tires, our hero, caveman Thor, must now discover the meaning of life, which is hidden away in a maze of mountain passes, bridges, and caves in B.C. II: Grog's Revenge.
Thor must ride his wheel through six mountains in order to reach his goal. Before he can take a bridge to the next mountain, he must pay Peter a toll of 100 clams. Fortunately, the mountaintops are strewn with clams for Thor to collect. Grog is also a clam collector and is not too happy about Thor shortening his supply. You should avoid Grog at all costs; if you encounter him, he will flatten you with a deafening "Grog" and the game will end.
Throughout the game there are many other hazards Thor must watch out for, including rocks, potholes, stalagmites, and tire-eating "Tiredactyls."
The game is divided into two screens. The top screen is the game screen and shows you a side view of Thor on his wheel when he is riding outside of the caves, and a top-down perspective inside caves, with only a small triangle of light emitting from Thor's hat to guide the way.
The bottom screen is a map that gives you the overall map of the area. Thor and Grog's placement on the mountain is depicted as well as the location of ledges and caves.
The game ends when Thor loses all of his wheels, encounters Grog, or finds the meaning of life. ~ Michael Schwartz/Joan Dykman, All Game Guide
