Based on the Nickelodeon series, Avatar: The Last Airbender features four playable characters who blend elemental magic and martial arts by "bending" them. Also known as the "benders," Aang, Katara, Haru, and Sokka represent elemental organizations known as the Water Tribe, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads. Every hundred years, an Avatar is born into one of the tribes. The Avatar can use all four magics, and must keep the balance between each group. This time around, Aang is the Avatar, but his reign was cut short when some unexpected events left him in a frozen state for a century-long nap.
After waking up, Aang must put his world back together. In his absence, tribes started fighting and peace became a rare luxury. As Aang and his friends travel through the four kingdoms, they master their individual elements by learning new abilities and spells. Players will battle against familiar enemies, as well as baddies not seen on the show. The Wii Remote is used to cast magic with horizontal and vertical slices through the air, and each character can perform four specific elemental spells. For example, by holding the B button and pulling up on the controller, Katara can create a shield to protect her allies from enemy fire. The analog attachment is used to navigate the benders through the world, either overtly or in stealth mode. ~ Gracie Leach, All Game Guide
