Designed as a "value brand" alternative for MMORPG players, Ashen Empires is a persistent world role-playing game with a fantasy setting. Reminiscent of successful originals, such as Lineage: The Blood Pledge and Ultima Online, the game world of Ashen Empires is viewed from a medium-distant isometric perspective, allowing players to see large stretches of battlegrounds or city streets at once, as well as the scores of player-characters and NPCs that may be fighting or interacting with one another in these locations. The game world is stocked with many potent, forgotten artifacts, and players may form parties and embark on quests to recover these items of power.
