DESCRIPTION
Life can sometimes take strange twists, especially if it's the life of an 8-year old kid. In Arrival, or Attack of the B-Movie Clichés, you are this kid who likes science fiction and macaroni and cheese and hates spinach and washing dishes. Today Mom made you wash dishes while the show "Captain Dangerous" was on and you missed the entire episode. But, hey, that's okay — something exciting just happened!
Aliens have landed on your back yard and have mistaken you for the ambassador of the human race. They have a lot of complaints about how humans are polluting space with their television and radio signals about wars and top ten lists. But, before they deal with this problem, they want you to bring them some rock salt and HoHos for food. What will you do?
Arrival, or Attack of the B-Movie Clichés is a text-based adventure game enhanced by graphics and sound at certain important points in the storyline. The game uses differently colored text to let you more easily distinguish between narrator commentary and in-game character dialogue. The game also uses HTML style mouse-click links within the room textual descriptions for possible exits, giving you the choice of either typing your desired direction of movement or clicking on it within the text.
This interactive fiction game is written by Stephen Granade and took fourth place in the 4th Annual Interactive Fiction Competition. ~ Kyle Knight, All Game Guide
