DESCRIPTION
In Army Men 2, players take on the role of a Green Army soldier thrust into the front lines of the Green/Tan conflict. In the first game, the landscape was familiar to the world of warfare, with battle-scarred fields, bunkers and destroyed cities, but now the war continues in the human world. Your one soldier will have to take on the Tan army all by himself (apparently, the Green army is running out of reinforcements), decimating their forces without getting himself blown to smoking, plastic bits
While he has no friends to help him, he can pick up power-ups such as machine guns, grenades and flame-throwers. While the perspective is overhead, the default control scheme is based more like a first person shooter. Pressing up makes you go forward regardless of which direction you face, and you can even strafe by holding down the B button. You can also crawl along the ground, which allows you to sneak up on unsuspecting guards.
Army Men 2 contains two campaigns and has over 20 levels with various objectives, from saving your compatriots to destroying Tan targets. In addition to basic foot-soldier action, there are certain stages where you can crawl into vehicles such as Jeeps and tanks, taking on the Tan army with a bit more speed and firepower. The title also features the availability to take on another player in head-to-head deathmatch or capture the flag action. A password feature lets you continue your game during different play sessions. ~ Jon Thompson, All Game Guide
