DESCRIPTION
Armored Core 2: Another Age features 100 new missions, the highest total in the series to date, and 26 all-new Core parts. Gameplay remains similar to its PS2 predecessor, requiring players to accept mercenary jobs from a variety of corporations, each with its own particular agenda. Though assignments vary in difficulty, the branching structure allows players the freedom to choose whichever missions suit their fancy.
Players with save data on their memory card from the original Armored Core 2 can transfer the information to the sequel, allowing them to import Core and access funds accrued during their last mercenary sojourn. Customization doesn't end with the Core or its color scheme, as emblems can now be created in 128 x 128 resolution as opposed to the original's 64 x 64.
Multiplayer modes allow competitive-minded players the chance to square off on opposite sides of a given scenario. Alternatively, two players can choose to cooperate and team up against the opposition. Both split screen and iLink support are available for multiplayer contests. Though it was originally planned to include support for the PS2 broadband modem, the U.S. version of Another Age was shipped without online capabilities. ~ Gavin Frankle, All Game Guide
