DESCRIPTION
Arkanoid: Revenge of Doh, the sequel to the popular Taito Arcade hit Arkanoid, like its predecessor, is derived from the classic hit Breakout. Arkanoid introduced supplemental play items like power-pills that drop from destroyed bricks and widen your paddle (called a "Vaus"), allowing you to shoot lasers and other enhancements. As the levels progressed there was a wider variety of brick arrangements.
Arkanoid: Revenge of Doh offers what its predecessor did and throws in some new varieties of power-pills. An invincible black ball destroys all bricks, including the otherwise indestructible gold ones; another narrows your paddle, but doubles all points earned while in effect; another gives your paddle a twin to assist you; while another produces 16 invincible black balls that will rip through the entire board in just a few seconds. In addition, once you finish a level you have your choice of two more. Two players can compete against each other by taking turns. Other than these modifications, Arkanoid: Revenge of Doh plays just like Arkanoid. ~ Michael Schwartz/Joan Dykman, All Game Guide
