DESCRIPTION
Influenced by Atari's Breakout, Arkanoid updates the ball-and-paddle, brick-busting genre by adding several new elements of play, including indestructible gold bricks, free-floating shapes and multiple levels with varying brick arrangements. More importantly, many of the multi-colored bricks contain power pills, which increase the length of the paddle, slow the speed of the ball, give the paddle laser fire, open a gate to the next level and more. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
