ah this was an oldie but a goody!
My first turn-based web-based empire building game. Had a lot of fun with it for a few lives, created a spreadsheet for my first few hundred turns, tweaking, etc.

Oh yeah, thats right, I cast Armageddon.
Online tactics at their best/worst. You build an empie, it gets destroyed, you die horribly, but it sucks you back every time. Worth a try, if you're bored.
Sucked up way too much of my time during my text-based MMO days. Revisited it briefly last year I quickly remembered why I stopped.
I used to play Archmage back in school, during some of my breaks.

I used to go by xace135x and Uriel then, played and lead guilds on a mix of servers, though S1 was my primary.
didn't really like it so...
I played Archmage (browser based, not sure if there is another one out there) and had fun, but after a while it was all just routine ...
