DESCRIPTION
Based on the best-selling series of kids' books from Scholastic, GT Interactive Software has teamed up with the publisher to create two different games for the PC and PlayStation that share common characteristics while also emphasizing slightly different styles of gameplay.
The Animorphs are Jake, Rachel, Marco and Cassie, a group of children with the power to morph into animals as they battle the evil Yeerks and keep the world safe, while also dealing with the trials and tribulations involved with school, friends and parents. The book series by author K.A. Applegate has more than 32 million copies in print and there is a popular TV show airing on Nickelodeon.
In the PlayStation game Animorphs: Shattered Reality, the characters find themselves in a time warp. You must help them gather the shards of the Time Matrix Crystal and restore the timeline back to normal. You can play as any of the Animorphs as you battle the Yeerks and Visser 3.
Each character has his or her own environment to explore and animal to morph into: Jake roams the urban area and turns into a tiger; Rachel explores the underground and can become a grizzly; Cassie explores the outdoors and can take on the form of a wolf; and Marco moves around indoors and can change into a rhino. The characters can also switch into other animals depending on the situation.
There are 19 levels to explore and each of them has a different ending depending on how well you rise up to the challenges presented before you. Some of your tasks include saving Trebors, beating a target time, and rescuing humans from the bad guys. ~ Brad Cook, All Game Guide
