DESCRIPTION

Following 2002's "booster" release of Notum Wars, Anarchy Online: Shadowlands is the first official expansion pack for Anarchy Online. The battles rage on between the giant hyper-corporation Omni-Tek and clans of freedom fighters; the vast reserves of Notum (necessary for the all-important nanotechology) on Rubi-Ka are up for grabs and Omni-Tek's position grows more precarious by the day.

In a bid to find the "Source" of Notum and the immense powers that go along with it, Omni-Tek has authorized the opening of a portal into a parallel dimension: the Shadowlands, guarded by hideously powerful creatures and filled with intelligent life. The Redeemed quickly ally with the clans while the Unredeemed side with Omni-Tek and the battles begin. However, as exploration of the Shadowlands continues, the remnants of an ancient civilization and a cataclysmic disaster are uncovered. There are many questions to answer, and the Shadowlands are beginning to dominate human dreams.

Players will explore the mystical parallel universe of the Shadowlands and experience twisted laws of physics. The floating city of Jobe, two new professions, revised profession specialisations, new special attacks, powerful monsters, weapons, armor, items, and enhanced graphics are all included. ~ Mark Hoogland, All Game Guide
