DESCRIPTION
The third-person action adventure game American McGee's Alice, by Rogue Entertainment and Electronic Arts, runs on an enhanced version of the Quake III Arena engine. American McGee is famous for his brilliant Quake and Quake II level designs. Those same talents make Alice a dark, spooky, even macabre experience that takes us back to Wonderland to remind us how terribly exciting and marvelously scary Alice's adventures really were.
Perhaps the classic Lewis Carroll story enjoys such enduring appeal because it's a children's book that adults can also enjoy. American McGee's Alice takes a decidedly more grown-up approach to the tale. The game contains some graphic violence and mature subject matter that may not be suited for children (or adults, for that matter, who aren't prepared to be a little frightened). ~ T.J. “I know this sounds horribly pathetic. But half the games I have managed to salvage from Katrina boxes of shit I'd forgotten to go though properly or just misplaced... Well apparently a good many...”

“Not the latest in game design by far, but I was recommended this game after a brief discussion at work about weird adventure type games. Fun to kill some time, but compared to today's games of the same type, Alice needs a makeover again.”

“Perfect for anyone who likes twisted fairytales (and probably pretty good for people who just like twisted). Not challenging by most standards, but the pace is good and dialogue surprisingly amusing.”

“ALICE! Every once in a while, I dig out this CD and install it. IT STILL RUNS, what a miracle. Oh American McGee, where did you go?”

“Half Lewis Carol, half Francis Bacon, all awesome. Apparently there's a movie being made. Just wish American McGee would make more games. What happened to American McGee's Oz?”
