DESCRIPTION

Inspired by the U.S. Army's original freeware shooter/recruitment tool and its 128-bit generation console follow-ups, the mobile edition of America's Army: Special Operations is less about giving players a sense of what it is like to train and serve in the United States armed forces and more about blowing stuff up. The game is played in variety of arcade-inspired, side-scrolling shooter styles. The storyline involves U.S. engagement in a modern-day war against fictional countries, and the style of play changes to allow players to take part in the conflicts most influential and decisive missions. The player pilots a heavily armed helicopter in some early levels, and later takes control of a soldier on foot, and a well-armored tank. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide
