DESCRIPTION

Aion: The Tower of Eternity is a persistent world online RPG set in an ethereal environment where players can join either side of the antagonistic battle between angelic and demonic creatures. In addition to a classic struggle between good ("The Chosen") and evil ("The Fallen"), gamers on both sides must also deal with a server-controlled NPC faction known as The Dragons, which the developers included as a balance in the event one side becomes too powerful.

Aion: The Tower of Eternity runs on Crytek Studios' proprietary game engine, which allows the game to employ dynamic temperature and weather effects (including special weather-based attacks) and realistic environmental characteristics. As in most MMOs, characters can be drawn from a variety of different classes, and players grow and level up through combat, economic advances, and social interaction. Griefers beware though, as Aion servers record and track all player stats and actions, and the choices gamers make will impact the effectiveness of parties and guilds. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide

“I think there is going to be a large update on the servers but they will save characters that are 50 plus, i remember seeing they would give 3 weeks until the update but then they would give more time until the summer but i don't quite know whats going to happen.”

“The announced something like that for Lineage II, saying if you didn't log in they would delete your account. I jumped through a bunch of hoops so I could log in, and then... remembered why I stopped playing it -_- I recall I liked Aion a lot more, but I doubt I could hit 50 anytime soon. I think i'm in the 10-11 range. I haven't been on there since GW 2 came out though.”

“Well, there's a loophole in that you could sorta exploit if you're smart about it. You could spend a bit of real money on exp boosts and some consumable goods for your character. You know, show you put effort into the character.

If they purge the character after that, then you can ether write a strongly worded email stating that you'd tried to follow their rules to level to 50, even paid to help speed it along, or failing that, you could do one of two things, 1. Reverse all charges for services not rendered, and 2. Sue NCSoft for not following through with services you paid for. Those services being the account, and characters you are leasing from NCSoft, because at the time you spent money on the account, it became a paid agreement between you and NCSoft for a service.

And you could go on to claim emotional damages, etc as others have with similar suits back in 2008.”

NCSoft doesn't develop the games. They are a web publisher.

ANet is owned by the same parent company as NCSoft.”
