DESCRIPTION
Hillsfar is a city in the Forgotten Realms game world. Before entering the city of Hillsfar you have the option of creating a character or importing one. Characters can be imported from Pool of Radiance and Curse of the Azure Bonds. After gaining experience in Hillsfar a character can be transfered back to Curse of the Azure Bonds but not back to Pool of Radiance.
Your character's class will represent the quests that you receive. Classes include thief, fighter, cleric, and magic-user. These classes represent which guild you go to and therefore which quests you are given. Embarking on quests will require you to leave the city and travel across the Elven Court. When traveling the game is viewed from the side where you are riding a horse that must be commanded to jump at precise moments.
Aside from the classes all characters can visit the arena and the target range. At the arena a character can battle in an attempt to earn fame, honor, and wealth. During arena sequences the game is viewed from a 3rd-person perspective. Accurate shooting at the target range will result in being awarded prizes. Here the game is viewed from a 1st-person perspective. Characters can also pick locks in order to break into houses and stores to steal treasure and items while racing against a time limit. When exploring buildings the action is viewed from overhead. ~ Jonathan Sutyak, All Game Guide
