DESCRIPTION
In 4 Times Revlex, one ball is put into play in the middle of the screen with paddles situated along the four edges. The goal is to keep the ball in play for as long as possible, and the game ends when the ball misses a paddle and travels off the edge of the screen. The direction the ball bounces depends on the angle at which it hits the paddle — once contact is made, you then have to manipulate the next appropriate paddle to keep the ball in play.
The game is played by one player controlling all four paddles or two players in cooperative mode, with each player controlling two of the paddles (vertical, left and right side, or horizontal, top and bottom). The vertical paddles move up or down and the horizontal paddles side to side.
Occasionally, a red and gray triangle with an exclamation mark randomly appears on screen which, if hit, causes the ball to change direction and requires a quick paddle adjustment to the new heading. The game offers an option to set the speed of the ball to one of more than 200 possible settings, with smaller numbers resulting in faster speeds and higher numbers over 200 causing it to slow down considerably. ~ Kyle Knight, All Game Guide
