Fans of Sunflowers' real-time empire-building games seek their fortunes in the Age of Exploration with 1503 A.D.: Treasures, Monsters, and Pirates. As suggested by its title, this expansion pack offers a more fantasy-based take on the series' historical simulation, featuring such unusual opponents as spiders, crocodiles, and robbers. New parks, gardens, and house designs, as well as animals like gorillas and bears, bring variety and new challenges for those who have mastered the original. For those who are less familiar with the 1602 to 1503 series, this expansion includes a special battle scenario intended to ease new players into the game. The add-on also offers three more "continuous play" games and a dozen new single-player scenarios.
