Tarantia Commons

The grandeur of Tarantia City stands unrivaled in the MMO world. Now developers Funcom is expanding the city even further by adding Tarantia Commons, a whole new district to the city often called 'the jewel of the west'. But this part of the jewel is certainly flawed, with gangs fighting against each other to get control of the streets. This is where the poorest people of Tarantia lives, and there is even a leper colonly here. Going near it might even give your character a disease! Tarantia Commons is one of the largest content updates for Age of Conan ever, adding hours of new content with an action-packed storyline, exciting characters and rich rewards. Tarantia Commons goes live in Update 5, slates for release very soon.

I love seeing cities built like this. In the Netherlands every bit terrain is just plain flat.

Yeah, it was a cool city in AOC, makes me wonder how the game is doing.

I left at launch before my free 30 days was up.

I hope the comment about getting a disease if you go near the leper colony is a joke. Despite common fears, leprosy is in fact not highly infectious, as approximately 95% of people are naturally immune. These days lepers aren't contagious at all after a few weeks of treatment, but of course in Conan's time there probably wasn't any real treatment, so it's possible a small percentage of players would be susceptible, but still. It's just silly and this sort of thing helps spread the FUD.

Just read that Age of Conan recently had it's 1st birthday, forgot how long this game has been out. Also didn't realize they now have free trials, might sneak back in and check the game back out. =)

I lalso eft at launch before my free 30 days was up. And have been thinking to activate the game and start to play. My friends that have continued to play says that alot has been fixed and there is so many changes that it is a new game to explore for me. New quest lines and villages to visit.

I am a long time player and they have fixed the game a lot..... they have added a lot of new content. But they are about to add a huge new patch that could make or break the game.

I have been playing this game since july 08, and i can tell you that if you quit shortly after release you will experience a much improved game if you return. Also the picture is not the entire zone. some of my friends have visited the zone on the test live server and it expands past the city into the countryside. The new patch also has alot more features such as changing the itemisation, making the items have a greater effect on a players stats, as well as improvments to each classes balancing. The game has really expanded in both content and quality since launch, give it another chance, i am sure you wont be disappointed. It is a fantastic game.

Just started to re-hammer my way back into AoC a month +/- ago. And it holds enouth lads n ladies for instances/group quests etc (and no, yer not wandering alone heh).
Less buggs, smoother client, overall better gameplay.
Yeh, I stopped playing AoC bout 3 months after its release, but all I can say now is that it aint the same, just bette,r more, bigger! And if yer in to re-starting! Go spam the shoutbox on the guildpage here on DNA

Played Aoc for almost a year. And i must say, it has grows in content especially. For those whom r making a come back, pls do visit Cradle of Decay(level 40 Group Dungeon) at Field of The Dead, Slaughter House(Level 78 Solo Dungeon) at Thunder River, and Xibaluku(Level 80 Group Dungeon) at Thunder River. Also the whole new map of Ymir's Pass(level 60++) & not to forget all the End Game Raiding Fun at Kyklikki, Yakmar, Vistrix, and the Black Ring Citadel. Umm...i think its going to b a drag if i carry on...Btw all the above are pre Update 5...jajajjajaja. The anticipation of 1.05 is an ordeal....ajjajajajaj. C u guys in the Hyborian World
